Julie White - Educational Psychologist

Dr Julie White is a Chartered Educational and Child Psychologist working privately across the North West of England. She provides psychological support for children, young people, and their families, as well as consultation and training for schools and professionals.

Julie is passionate about empowering those she works with, helping families to understand their child’s unique strengths and needs, and supporting schools to create environments where all children can thrive. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, focusing on practical strategies that make a real difference in everyday life.

After completing her undergraduate degree at Loughborough University, Julie gained her PGCE and spent a few years teaching in a London primary school before undertaking her Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at the University of Manchester.

Since qualifying in 2010, Julie has worked in a range of educational and health settings across the North West, supporting children with a variety of learning, social, emotional, and developmental needs. She has significant experience within autism pathways, contributing to assessments, delivering post-diagnostic workshops for parents and professionals, and helping families navigate the journey of understanding and supporting their child.

As an Educational Psychologist, Julie draws on psychological theory and research to explore how children learn, develop, and experience the world around them. Her work involves assessment, consultation, and intervention to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive outcomes both at home and in school.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time in the countryside with her three children and their dog, Maxby. She also loves running and baking treats to share with family and friends.
